Electronic vehicle tracking services have been around for years, but Chrysler's new system adds additional features to the program, offered through the automaker's Mopar accessories. The new system allows parents and fleet owners to keep tabs on their Mopar vehicles at all times.
Mopar's Electronic Vehicle Tracking System (EVTS) is based upon the GPS-based transponders engineered by Guidepoint Systems, and simply plugs into the OBD-II diagnostic port found underneath the dashboard on all modern Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram vehicles.
