With the recent launch of Opel's new Astra GTC hatch in Europe comes news of a version bound for the United States market. Didn't this happen once before? It did, in fact happen. Though, previously GM tried to bring the Opel Astra to the States under the Saturn nameplate. Unfortunately however, Saturn's attempt to bring the Astra to the states was not met with the fantastic sales that they were hoping for…

It's always been known that Buick is more popular in China than it is in the U.S. But how popular is it there? Apparently VERY, as General Motors and Buick recently announced the sale of their 3 Millionth Buick in the country.

Sales of both the Buick LaCrosse and Chinese model Buick Verano (coming as a 2012 model in the US) have tipped the pot over 3,000,000 units sold. Most impressive of all is the fact that GM has only sold Buick models in China since 1999.
