First Details on 2014 GMC Sierra From Mossy Motors

That's right, GMC is preparing to finally redesign the Sierra lineup of trucks, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Sure, the current GMC Sierra 1500 is a great truck, but it's always refreshing to inject the lineup with a little more power, style, and performance. So how is GMC planning to do it this time?

First things first, the company is promising more aerodynamic bodies. This will result in better fuel economy and performance. A good move if you ask us. Then there's what will go under the hood of that sleek body. Specifically, GMC is looking at a eight-speed automatic transmission and more efficient powerplants (e.g., a small-block V8 with direct injection, for greater power and fuel economy).

Once the half-ton models have been updated, we can expect a similar update to the HD (Heavy Duty) models in the year that follows. Updates to the GMC Sierra HD lineup include a new chassis, suspension, upgrades to steering, and a new Duaramax diesel engine.

That said, we want to know. Are you more inclined to wait for the 2014 GMC Sierra? Or are you a fan of the current design?
